THE REV. RUSS MERRILL
Assisting Priest
Father Russell Merrill has lived in Shiawassee County all his life, mostly in Corunna. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s, was an acolyte from age 12 until beginning a stint in the military at age 21, and has been a member of St. Paul’s parish for 64 years. Russ attended the Whitaker School of Theology in the Diocese of Michigan and was ordained to the Deaconate in 1983. Upon retiring from his secular job, Russ attended Huron University College, an Anglican seminary in London, Ontario, and was ordained into the priesthood in 2003. He has found his years as a priest at St. Paul’s very rewarding. He enjoys working with the energetic group of people that makes up this small parish. Russ emphasizes that St. Paul’s would warmly welcome those who do not have a church home to come and join us for worship and fellowship.
THE REV. ALICE LEWIS
Assisting Priest
Alice, a Corunna native, has served in several congregations including St. Paul's, Corunna; Christ Church, Owosso; and St. Alban's, Manistique. She was ordained in 1999 by Bishop Thomas Ray of the Diocese of Northern Michigan after years of study under the Mutual Ministry Program. She went on to serve as Priest-in-Charge of Christ Church, Owosso for several years before retiring and returning back to St. Paul's.
THE REV. LINDA ASH
Deacon
Linda has been a part of life at St. Paul's since 1996. She began her involvement by serving as a lector, prayer leader, and later, worship leader. In 2003, when St. Paul's began to raise up a Mutual Ministry Support Team, Linda responded to a call to serve God as a Deacon in the Church. She was ordained in February 2008 alongside other members of the Mutual Ministry Team. Linda is now semi-retired, serving St. Paul's on a very part-time basis. She tries to live her life by loving God with all her heart, mind, and soul and to love her neighbor as herself.
