ABOUT US
St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a community of Christians practicing an ancient faith through a modern lens. We come together, mighty in love, to celebrate the challenges and successes of this life, seeking relationship with our neighbors in Corunna.
WELCOME TO ST. PAUL'S
“There is good news tonight” is the way a radio news anchor of another generation used to tag his program, and there is certainly good news to be told at St. Paul's!

If you are seeking a place to worship, a community to grow in, I hope you will consider joining us at St. Paul's. We are a community of Christians focused on a loving, liberating, life-giving God with a place for you, no matter where you might find yourself on life's journey.

Come check out a service (we meet at 10am for Eucharist on Sundays) and stick around for coffee hour. We would love to get to know you.

Peace,

HISTORY OF ST. PAUL'S
In 1862, about twenty years after the founding of the town of Corunna, five women formed the Ladies’ Episcopal Society with the intention to raise funds to employ a clergyman, hold services, and eventually erect a church building in their community. The official Articles of Agreement to form a parish were recorded in the county clerk’s office in 1865.
Services were held in various locations, including the county court house. Twenty years after the “founding mothers” first met, the parish erected its first church, a Victorian red brick building complete with carved white wooden trim and elegant corner bell tower. Through ups and downs in membership, a few years’ temporary closure during WWI, and the service of part time clergy, St. Paul’s continued to grow and was thriving enough in the early 1950’s to build a well-equipped parish hall. This hall is still in active use by the parish, community groups, and the general public. The beloved little brick church building finally aged beyond the point of stability and usefulness, and was demolished and replaced in 1969 with the building which serves St. Paul’s today. We enjoy the mix of old traditional and modern new items found in our sanctuary, and the same might be said for our worship. Through the decades we have always been willing to try new things to add to our familiar worship traditions.

We are blessed to have a tradition of strong member participation in our worship services, business affairs, and outreach ministries.
